Our chapter attends the Northern Area Leadership Training and we also participate in STAR Events to help develop leadership skills. We also attend various trainings offered at State and National Leadership Conferences.
The Northern Area Mid-Winter STAR Event Meeting and FCCLA Camp is one way of our chapter gains personal growth through meeting new people, other than our Area Meetings. Camp encourages us to analyze our personal leadership styles and gives us tools to grow and improve our skills.
We provide the opportunity for members to participate in STAR Events and attend the Area, State, and National FCCLA meetings and Conferences. We also present our events to our local sponsors like the Jaycees and Lions Club, as well as our School Board.
We host a Seatbelt Safety Day that meets the Families Acting for Community Traffic Safety Program (FACTS). We host a college Financial Aid workshop for seniors for Financial Fitness. Our Daddy Daughter Dance supports our Families First program, College Fairs cover Career Connection goals, and this year's Penny War was our Community Service Project.
We send thank you cards to service men and women through the Operation Gratitude Program. We also host a local clothing and food drive through the Global Youth Service Day Program.
We have a FCCLA week, where we have spirit days with fun dress-up themed days and host a pep-fest at the end of the week to help promote FCCLA and give out awards for the winners of each spirit day.
Grades 10-12 get the opportunity to attend a career expo and college fair. FCCLA also helps members explore different career pathways through different programs and activities.
Our chapter promotes post-graduation readiness by attending college fairs, inviting guest speakers, and having our members engage in career exploration and leadership development training which helps us learn life skills needed in the workforce.
We regularly work concession stands for football and volleyball games, and participate in fundraising events for our Chapter such as pizza kits and butter braids. Our community partnerships support us in our activities and travels by making generous donations.
